Gigging Frauds: Art Fraud, fingerprints, and a lost Leonardo: newyorker.com

Sunday August 10, 2005-sunday august 15, 2010...graffiti vandalism, break & enter escalated, from drug dealing in high school, escalates from grabbing girl's arm too hard & leaving a yellow mark...

a Mercedes McLaren SLR parked on Scollard street in Yorkville...methinks we have a winner...(not even part of the exotic car show...just parked nearby...ironic eh?) photocredit: Joseph Grove Sony Ericsson C905 cameraphone with 8.1 megapixels of power...(awesome)

http://www.northlandart.com/ Q.  THE FOLLOWING IS AN EXCERPT FROM THE NORTHLAND ART WEBSITE FAQ PAGE LOCATED ON THE CONTACT US PAGE... "What does ‘by A.J. Casson’ or ‘by’ any artist’s name mean?
A. The ‘by’ indicates who the artist was that painted the original; in other words, the image or print being viewed is ‘by’ that artist, and not signed by the artist." THIS REFERS TO THE FACT THAT SOMEONE ELSE IS SIGNING PRINTS IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN WITH THE ARTIST'S NAME, AND THEY WRITE THAT THE WORD "BY" ABSOLVES THEM FROM CHARGES OF FORGERY...AS IF "BY SARI GROVE" CLEARLY TELLS THE VIEWER THAT THE WORK WAS NOT SIGNED BY ME...THIS IS OF COURSE, BALDERDASH, DUBIOUS, DECEPTIVE & CRUMMY...

http://www.simonliuinc.com/store/CanvasAcss01.html Fredrix canvas Tacks...I am seriously thinking of putting them along the edges of my stapled in the back linen, to give extra support & tension...Plus, they may look neat...?
Second, consideration...Tara Grommet Plier kit with 4 grommets...Thinking about putting grommets in my linen & hanging works un-stretched...wonder if this will work...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AiBYOdKLuc a movie about how to put grommets into canvas...(David Martsolf)

http://www.dade.fnpschapters.org/pubs/PlantTrees.html ...Ok, I am an idiot, Not a total idiot, But still an idiot. I didn't order stretcher bars from Upper canada Stretchers because their sample was so beautiful I couldn't bring myself to use pine...I didn't deserve pine. I love pine trees. I am a Canadian girl & I love pine trees. The smell of pine, pine cones, green prickly pine needles, the whole shebang, pine forests. I always feel sad when people leave their discarded Christmas pines at the end of the driveway...Kindof like when I see old stuffed animals at the end of driveways. Someone's best friend, now discarded...
So I ordered from Rex art in Miami...Fpr some reason, I was going too fast, I didn't check the wood...Well, I think I thought it was poplar- I thought I saw the wood poplar...I don't have as much a problem with poplar...
Just now I doublechecked...Pine. Kiln dried pine...oops. Ok, not completely bad, because I figure pine grows alot faster in Miami than it does in Ontario...More sustainable...Ahem...so much for my no pine rule...my bad...

Yesterday I was in the bay at the Eaton Centre...I asked the saleslad if they had any nice women's knapsacks...He answered me straightfaced: "What exactly IS a knapsack?" I said, hmmm, you have obviously been brought up on Mars, turned around & showed him mine...Asked him where Exactly he was from..."Ireland"...What do they call it there? " a Rucksack"...Good to know...(for a moment I thought maybe he had grown up living in a basement in a cage...)

The lady at Shiseido at the Bay Yonge Bloor, spent 10 minutes counting the money in her cash register...I sat patiently waiting for her advice on sunscreen...10 minutes later, two very old, short, wrinkly, don't speak English, very Chinese grandmas came over...The saleslady, now done with her counting, approached, & asked if we were all together? I didn't answer, because me blonde Amazon girl in short shorts, tan & kooky artists gear, thought it was a stupid question...(yes, I know there are no stupid questions- but please...) Then she proceeded to help the grandmas...I felt that maybe Shiseido was not maybe my demographic(ok, truth, the shiseido stuff seemed to separate on my arm, the goth girl at Shopper's said because it lacked a very long word which I cannot pronouce, that keeps the stuff from separating...)(goth girl liked banana boat because it doesn't have some sort of methylparabens, but I thought it smelled like pesticide)(the organic eco-lips product was nice but still got burnt with it) (one of my favs is trevarno sun, wind, sea organic stick, but 15 is a little low- plus it comes from England, which takes a while)......(I had tried Dior, with the Charlize Theron & Sharon Stone blondie pics, but they didn't have suncreen...apparently spf is a problem for Canada customs...they think maybe we need the sunburn to make up for the 10 previous months of darkness, or something...)
Estee Lauder's lady was very nice, but I don't identify with the dark haired sparkly eyed type either, plus , no suncreens...(for the record, Origins only had moisturizer with spf but nothing else, Decleor nothing, Dr. Haushka nada, Clarins I felt was too drying (oil free products can sap your own oils & you get a worse sunburn...plus Clarins makes me think of my mum's demographic...)
Ended up at Shopper's Drug mart downstairs- Vichy smelled yuck, Lancaster gave me pimples, ahhh...Roc...I bought Roc SPF 60, very nice, and it was ON SALE too...) an excellent pale skinned goth creature advised me minimum 45SPF if you are out for a while- she said spf30 just for jaunts...(goth creatures KNOW suncreen...)
Very nice spritz bottle too...No aerosol cans for me...( we had a little talk about that...)
